Great question! Açaí is a berry that grows on an açaí palm tree. The açaí berry is exclusively found in the Amazon Rainforest
in Brazil. Thanks to a humid, subtropical climate, the Amazon is known to have the richest soil on earth, which allows the palm to thrive. An açaí berry itself is 95% seed, which is not edible. Rather, it’s the skin around the berry that makes for such a delectable treat.
